Extra funding for taking on an apprentice!
15/01/10
The Government have agreed to extra funding for taking on an apprentice
EAGIT have just received the great news that there is a limited amount of funding for a company who takes on an apprentice immediately aged 16 to 17 (they must start before their 18th birthday). This entails funding of £2,500 per apprentice to support the employment costs. The training is already paid for by the Government and so this is in addition to that!
There is limited funding of £1.25 million available for this region and so this is expected to go quickly. There are also conditions attached e.g. companies who have already committed to taking on an apprentice will not be eligible.
