Young apprentices on their placements
18/04/09
Young apprentices on the 14-16 year old apprenticeship scheme, at EAGIT, experienced a taste of the real world recently. 14 pupils from Heartsease and Thorpe St. Andrew's schools attended various companies in Norwich for their work-experience.
All received glowing reports from the sponsors.
David Willimott from Parker Hydrualics & Pneumatics said, 'Despite having had some bad experiences over recent years with young employees, the lads we have recently had from EAGIT have restored our faith in young people. They have been really keen.'
Other companies offering young apprentices an opportunity to prove their worth were:
Laurence Scotts Electro-motors;
KM Engineering;
Robinson's Volkswagen;
Crane Heating;
Alpha Craft (Brundall);
Fitt Signs & Graphics;
Emtek Support...etc.
