House of Lords Presentation
Eagit/JTL Partnership Success

July 14th was a special day for former EAGIT student Mark Nichols. Mark was Eastern Area Winner of the Award for Practical Achievement in Electrical Installations at the 13th JTL National Award ceremony. At a special reception at The House Of Lords, hosted by Lord Randall of St. Budeaux, Marks` parents, JTL Training Officer Matthew Frere-Smith and representatives from employer EYRE Norwich, saw Mark receive a certificate, plaque and cheque for £750.

“Being a winner from hundreds of other apprentices is not only a reward for the hard work Mark put in over the course of his apprenticeship but testament to the excellent training partnership in place in the Norfolk region between EAGIT, JTL and local employers, such as Eyre” said Matthew Frere-Smith.

Such is the demand for places on the JTL Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship scheme locally, that EAGIT (who provide the City & Guilds and Key Skills qualifications) look set to have their largest intake ever for 2006/07.
“ I know I can rely on EAGIT to provide a quality service and produce excellent results for both JTL and the local industry. I am happy to place my apprentices with them, and employers from as far a field as Ipswich are asking for places for their apprentices” Matthew commented.
