It was granted a Royal Charter in 1900 to provide the means and motivation for individuals, corporations and communities to reach their goal. City and Guilds is now the leading provider of vocational qualifications in the UK with close links industry, government and training organisations to identify the skills needed to support the economy.

Connexions Norfolk is a new service for all 13-19 year olds that brings together many organisations in a partnership that provides high quality information, advice, guidance, and support on a range of issues that concern young people.
JTLimited is a registered charity established by the Electrical Contractors Association and AMACUS. The organisation is the preferred training agent for the electrical contracting industry in England and Wales. JTL offers Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Heating and Ventilating.
ECITB (The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) was created by Act of Parliament in 1991 in recognition of the vital role the engineering industry plays in the UK economy. ECITB holds funds on behalf of the Industry and manages training programmes, distributes grants for training and develops qualifications for people across the industry.
The Learning and Skills Council was appointed in July 2003 to take the lead in delivering skills for local business. The LSC has a clear remit for reforms to improve skills and provide a boost to the local economy.
